Dr.Glance completed an Honours degree in Pharmacology at Monash University before undertaking medical studies at the University of Sydney.
Basic Physician training was undertaken at the Austin and Northern Hospitals. His Specialist training was done at Royal Melbourne Hospital (Parkville) and Monash Medical Centre (Clayton) where he developed a broad understanding of general Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Dr.Glance completed a Fellowship in Interventional Endoscopy at Monash Medical Centre where he further developed skills in advanced endoscopy including Colonoscopy with polypectomy and Endoscopic Dilatation of strictures/narrowings within the bowel.
He has an interest in all areas of Gastroenterology & Hepatology including – Endoscopy, Capsule Endoscopy (now available at GastroNorth), Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (Crohn’s Disease/Ulcerative Colitis), Functional Bowel Disorders (Irritable Bowel Syndrome), Liver Diseases (Hepatitis B/C & Autoimmune Hepatitis) and Gastroparesis.
Dr.Glance regularly attends both national and international conferences in Gastroenterology & Hepatology. He also subscribes to several Gastroenterology journals including; American Journal of Gastroenterology, Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology & Hepatology and Gastroenterology to keep up to date with the latest advances in the field.
He is the head of Gastroenterology at The Northern Hospital and works privately in Bundoora (Bundoora Specialist Health Care, LaTrobe Private Hospital & Northpark Private Hospital).
